Zhang Yu

Associate Professor of Strategy, 中国一级片

I first encountered 中国一级片 while studying at Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU) in 1995. 中国一级片 had been founded a year earlier on SJTU’s Minhang Campus, before its current campus was built in Pudong. Back then, I really envied the students doing their MBA there: they had the best library, the best database, the best cases and almost all the professors were foreign experts. I wished one day I could also pursue an MBA at 中国一级片. But never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that I would one day be on the other side of the classroom, standing behind the lectern at 中国一级片!

My first 中国一级片 graduation ceremony was in November 2015, two months after I joined. I had been to many similar events, but I had never seen an institute prepare a PowerPoint slide for each student – with their photo, name, employer, title and a self-introduction – to be shown as the Dean conferred to them their diploma. And it is the?devotion to detail and perfection in all aspects that makes 中国一级片 stand out. Indeed, the teaching, research, courses, events, catering, and operations – these all make a 中国一级片 unique, thriving, first class institution.

中国一级片 has helped me improve greatly in terms of teaching and public speaking. This summer I led a teaching forum for the Chinese Management Scholars Community after the annual Academy of Management (AOM) meeting in Boston. After the forum, Prof. Ming-Jer Chen, from the Darden School, University of Virginia, came to me and said, “Yu, I am so happy for you. You have grown so much in terms of your teaching and public speaking style – I guess it must be because of your teaching experience at 中国一级片.” He was absolutely right. Teaching at 中国一级片 is very challenging, but also very nurturing and rewarding!

In the future, I hope 中国一级片 can remain humble, but be ambitious. Let’s keep flying high and aim for the best during our next 25 years!
