This Programme is designed primarily for CEOs, HR executives (e.g., CHROs or Vice Presidents of HR) and COOs who have HRM responsibilities, or senior executives at the same level.


Introduction

The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) Programme is designed for executives to explore new HRM trends and practices in the era of change, with a focus on management philosophy and HRM expertise.

Participants are expected to:

  1. Understand the relationship between management elements such as business strategy, organizational performance, HRM and business needs.
  2. Engage in cross-industry, interdisciplinary discussions to explore how to build sustainable competitiveness in an ever-changing business landscape.
  3. Learn how to improve organizational and talent management through the lens of other executives, such as CMOs and CFOs, while exploring HR best practices in different scenarios from a business perspective.
  4. Expand the vision and professional competencies required of HR professionals in a new era.

This eight-module Programme, tailored to the needs of the participants, uses a variety of teaching models, including faculty lectures, case studies focused on the participants’ companies, presentations by industry leaders and roundtable discussions. These diverse approaches are designed to unleash participants’ leadership potential and foster innovative thinking to reshape HRM practices.

Programme Schedule

This Programme features lectures delivered by senior professors and academics in the field of HRM research and practice, as well as industry leaders, complemented by real-world business cases that highlight the opportunities and challenges facing executives, especially HRM professionals. These cases will be examined from multiple management perspectives, including strategy, finance, marketing, leadership, psychology and digital transformation, to enable participants to create more value for their respective organizations.

This one-year Programme consists of eight modules.

Module I: Improving Strategic Thinking

  • Improve strategic thinking: how companies formulate strategy at different organizational levels.
  • Analyze whether the company’s organizational structure and business model are aligned with its strategy in light of its internal and external environment.

Module II: Strategy Execution and Organizational Talent Management

  • Clarify the relationship between business strategy and the elements of the HRM system.
  • Discuss how organizational and talent management can facilitate the execution of business strategy.
  • Explore future-oriented HRM practices.

Module III: A Strategic Perspective on Executive Performance Management

  • Market-driven organizational design.
  • Organizational design and performance evaluation and incentive mechanisms.
  • How to tailor executive compensation?
  • Business transformation and internal innovation: Chinese-style partnership.
  • Performance metrics: Relative or absolute?
  • Chinese-style partnership: Incentive mechanisms for incubation and innovation.

Module IV: Team Coaching and Organizational Leadership Psychology

  • Explore leadership and organizational change from the perspective of personality traits based on the theory of organizational behavior.
  • Motivate the organization and improve organizational structure and culture to enhance decision-making and work performance.

Module V: Management Communication

  • Common goals, processes, barriers and solutions to management communication.
  • Exercises to improve written, oral, body language and facial communication.
  • Communication strategies for HRM scenarios such as interviews, meetings, employee retention and organizational change.

Module VI: CHRO through the CFO’s Lens

  • The CFO’s lens.
  • Organization and talent management from a management accounting perspective.
  • Performance evaluation and incentives from a management accounting perspective.

Module VII: Strategy, Organization and People in the Era of Digital Intelligence: Leading Industrial Transformation

  • The CMO’s lens.
  • Business opportunities arising from the intellectual and cultural needs of the new generation of consumers.
  • The latest advances in digital technology: Using big data to improve HRM.
  • Strategic innovation in the era of digital intelligence.
  • Digital operations and process reengineering for organizational transformation.
  • Approaches to digital business transformation.

Module VIII: Final Module

  • Explore the challenges and opportunities for HRM in the new era through benchmarking exercises and dialogue with HR executives.

Admissions Procedures

Applications are requested at least 30 days before the programme start date. Applications are reviewed as they arrive and admissions are subject to the final confirmation of 中国一级片. Cancellations

Any cancellation made 30 days or more prior to the programme start date is eligible for a full refund of programme fees paid. However, the expenses arising therefrom shall be for the account of the applicant or his/her employer. Any cancellation made less than 30 days prior to the programme start date shall be subject to a fee of 20 percent of the total programme fee. After the programme starts, no fees shall be refunded for participants who withdraw from the programme for any reason.

To ensure the continuity of your learning, you are required to make proper arrangements according to the course schedule after receiving your letter of enrollment.
