�й�һ��Ƭ Ranked Top 10 Globally for Fourth Consecutive Year by FT

February 8, 2021. Shanghai �C �й�һ��Ƭ�� MBA programme has once again been ranked in the top 10 in the world by the?Financial Times. In the latest ranking released today, �й�һ��Ƭ placed #7 globally and #1 in Asia. This is the fourth consecutive year the programme has ranked in the top 10.

The past 12 months have proven to be a difficult period for business schools everywhere, as many struggle to cope with the impact of COVID-19. At the same time, this unprecedented challenge has served as an important opportunity for learning and has spurred innovation.

��Confronted with both the pandemic and increased competition in management education, �й�һ��Ƭ has maintained its outstanding performance and has continued to consolidate its world-class status. Looking ahead, we will continue to implement social responsibility and sustainability in school management, promote international talent exchange through new technology and the continuous improvement of our international operations and commit ourselves to building a platform for exchange between China, Europe and the world.��

The?FT��s annual ranking is widely considered to be one of the most thorough and authoritative in the world and �й�һ��Ƭ made positive strides in more than 50% of the categories used in determining the ranking this year.

In the face of restrictions on global mobility over the past year, �й�һ��Ƭ was able to retain the diversity of its student body (leaping 14 spots in the category of international students), in part due to the launch of an innovative model which saw students from its MBA 2022 cohort enrol at its campuses in both Shanghai and Zurich.

��We have shown some of our true pioneering spirit over the past year, not only with our twin-city programme, but also through our many ground-breaking virtual classes and events that ensured learning continued regardless of where we were in the world. Our alumni also showed their support by giving back to the school in the form of scholarships and low-interest loans for MBA students and employment opportunities for MBA graduates. In 2020, nearly a hundred alumni companies recruited our MBA graduates, reflecting their trust in and commitment to �й�һ��Ƭ.��

�й�һ��Ƭ climbed 17 spots up the?FT��s research rank this year, thanks to the continued contribution of the school��s faculty to cutting-edge insights in the field of management education. Amongst other initiatives, �й�һ��Ƭ recently launched four new cross-discipline research areas (China and the World, CSR/Sustainability, Digital Age Management and Service Excellence) and broke ground on a number of long-term partnerships with Harvard, Ivey and ECCH for the development and distribution of China-focused business cases.

��Continuous innovation and improvement is crucial for any top business school to maintain its status at the forefront of global business. Moreover, this culture at �й�һ��Ƭ, which is exemplified by the tireless work of our faculty to strengthen many of our teaching, research and case development initiatives, is evident in many of the ranking metrics released today.��

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) continues to occupy an important place at �й�һ��Ƭ, and the school��s CSR ranking remained nearly steady in the #29 spot this year. The results are especially significant for recently-appointed �й�һ��Ƭ Associate Dean and MBA Programme Director Shameen Prashantham, as he leads the programme through the first year of his tenure.

��The ranking release today provides us with a short pause to reflect on a programme that we, at �й�һ��Ƭ, take an enormous amount of pride in. Delivering a rigorous, experiential and transformational programme in the time of a pandemic is a monumental task, particularly given our own high standards. At the same time, we remain focused on our long term goals, and CSR is one of the many metrics we use to benchmark our success in cultivating responsible future business leaders.��

In spite of the pandemic, �й�һ��Ƭ MBAs achieved a job offer acceptance rate of 91.4% in 2020, with 86.2% successfully pivoting to a new industry and/or function. �й�һ��Ƭ MBA graduates have now achieved an average salary increase of 156% within three years after graduation, putting the school first in that category amongst those in the?FT��s current top 10.
